Recovery Month was established in 1989 to recognise the acheivements of people recovering from substance use and mental health conditions. Observed every September, it aims to raise awareness that recovery is possible and to celebrate individuals, families and communities supporting recovery.
“Recovery is possible for everyone through hope, support, treatment and community”
More than a Label (MtaL) is a vibrant community of people in recovery from drugs and alcohol, supporting one another, rediscovering creativity, and building a future rooted in connection and purpose. This September, as part of Recovery Month, we are hosting and particpating in a series of events that raise awareness that recovery is possible, celebrate those in recovery (or supporting someone who is) and bringing more people into our recovery community.
Find out what’s happening happening across Trafford, come along to one (or more) events, connect with our wonderful members and find out how we are sharing the joy of sobriety together. Unless stated otherwise, just turn up to any of the events listed below.
If you work for an organisation or service that also supports people experiencing addiction, we’d love to connect with you at one of our events too!
If you’d like to know more about our project, please contact Verity (mtal@traffordcollective.org.uk)
“Every person, every family, every community can celebrate recovery and inspire hope.”
More than a Label (MtaL) is funded by Trafford Public Health, delivered by Trafford Community Collective and supported by the Recovery Community.
