Who is eligible to become a member?
Currently, any non-profit organisation that is based in or active in Trafford is eligible to apply for a free membership. This includes voluntary groups, charities, social enterprises, faith‑based organisations, co‑operatives, and more.

Affiliate Member
What this means
This membership is for organisations that are interested in being part of our community and want to stay informed. It is ideal for those who wish to keep up to date with mental health activities and initiatives taking place across the Trafford VCFSE sector, or for organisations that would like to act as supporters. Affiliate organisations are not required to meet any policy adoption requirements to become members.

- Marketing – six‑weekly newsletter, and inclusion in our annual Impact Report
- Your organisation’s work highlighted to statutory sector boards across Trafford
- Opportunities to receive discounted / free training from Collaborative members

- A commitment to share our agreed values
- Contribution to our six‑weekly newsletter at least once per year
- Contribution to impact measurement and reporting
- Inclusion of the MHC logo on your organisation’s website
Associate Member
What this means
This membership is for organisations that want support to grow and develop their service offer and that have the capacity and time to commit to further development. Associate Members are required to adopt and demonstrate specific policies within their work or setting.

- Marketing – six – weekly newsletter and inclusion in our annual impact report
- Your organisation’s work highlighted to statutory sector boards across Trafford
- Opportunities to receive discounted / free training from Collaborative members
- Opportunities to work in partnership with other VCFSE providers at a local level
- Opportunities to offer and share rooms with other members
- Inclusion in collaborative bids
- Invitation to host a stall at our MHC Showcase event
- Opportunity to contribute to the MHC podcast
What we ask from you
- A commitment to share our agreed values
- Contribution to our six‑weekly newsletter at least twice per year
- Contribution to impact measurement and reporting
- Inclusion of the MHC logo on your organisation’s website
- Attendance at at least two member events per year
- Evidence that you have adopted all policies as specified in your membership agreement
- Inclusion of the MHC logo on your organisation’s website
- Participation in collaborative initiatives, where possible
Full Member
What this means:
This membership is for organisations that have adopted all required policies for their organisation and are therefore fully qualified. Full Members are expected to actively uphold and apply MHC policies within their own practice or workplace. As a Full Member, your organisation will play a strong role within the collaborative, including the ability to influence decisions.

What we ask from you
- A commitment to share our agreed values
- Contribution to our six‑weekly newsletter at least four times per year
- Contribution to impact measurement and reporting
- Inclusion of the MHC logo on your organisation’s website
- Attendance at at least two member events per year
- Evidence that you have adopted all policies as specified in your membership agreement
- Evidence that you have undertaken required training as specified in your membership agreement
- Inclusion of the MHC logo on your organisation’s website
- Participation in collaborative initiatives, where possible
