Reducing Gendered Violence in areas of Trafford

GreaterSport in partnership with Trafford Community Collective, supported the Old Trafford, Stretford and Gorse Hill communities to reduce gendered violence; and to create and maintain safe spaces and a sense of belonging, to enable active and joyful lives. This community-based approach was part of the wider Right to the Streets project in Trafford.

The Trafford Build Back Fairer Video story tells the ‘journey of change’ highlighting the collaborative work the Trafford Community Collective members are undertaking to power system change and make inequalities everyone’s business.

The Collective provides a framework and structure for organisations to come together with one voice to ensure the sector is recognised as a strategic partner at all levels in the development and delivery of health and social care services in Trafford. Our Chief Officer’s report shows how it is achieving this through strategic development.

The Collective and its partners successfully bid for £17,000

The Collective and its partners successfully bid for £17,000 to be award to individuals, organisations an groups in the Old Trafford and Gorse Hill area, with the aims of reducing gendered violence, maintaining safe spaces and a sense of belonging , to enable active and joyful lives.
