Trafford’s community hubs are here to support you into volunteering

This shared database is part of a joint project led by the Trafford Community Collective.
Our hub-based volunteer coordinators work together to support local organisations in recruiting volunteers.
- We host annual volunteer fairs in each neighbourhood.
- We manage volunteers within our own hubs, ensuring local residents can access the right community support.
- We share knowledge to strengthen Trafford’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector.
Funding from the National Lottery Community Fund ‘Reaching Communities’ programme has enabled us to develop our hub-based model of volunteer coordination. Our project runs until September 2026.

Our dedicated Volunteer Coordinators provide friendly face-to-face support to anyone interested in volunteering, matching you to opportunities in your community.
We can explore options which suit your availability, motivation, skills and interests – and we can help you to apply.
We regularly work with NHS social prescribers, social care link workers, mental health support workers and jobcentre work coaches to support their clients – you can ask yours to get in touch with us.

Do you need volunteers?
Register with our database by filling in our form to tell us about your requirements. Your local hub volunteer coordinator will be in touch.
By registering your information, we will be able to effectively signpost potential volunteers to your organisation. We can display promotional materials in each relevant hub and we’ll invite you to exhibit at upcoming volunteer fairs. Your information will also be shared with Thrive Trafford, so that you also gain their support (see below).
